I’m Luc Gerrits, I have a Ph.D that specializes in the intersection of blockchain and IoT technologies, I aim to apply my expertise in both industry and research & development (R&D).
As an experienced software engineer, I have successfully worked with startups where I conceptualized and articulated innovative blockchain use cases, and set up complete tech stacks from the ground up. My experience includes: embedded software, cloud/backend services, and as well as developing blockchain node or applications.
I completed my Ph.D at the Electronics, Antennas, and Telecommunications Laboratory (LEAT) in Sophia Antipolis (CNRS – UMR n°7248). My research focused on “IoT Communications with Blockchain and Multi-Chain: A Case Study in the Automotive Industry” under the supervision of Prof. François Verdier.
During my academic career, I have served as a teaching assistant in the Electronics Department, where I taught courses on the Basics of Digital Electronics, Practical Applications of IoTs, RTOS systems, and SystemC-TLM hardware modeling.
I hold a master’s degree in “Electronics, Systems, and Telecommunications” which I obtained from Université Côte-d’Azur in 2020.
Research interests: Embedded systems, IoT, Blockchain, Smart contracts, Decentralized architectures, Interoperability.
